In the film 'Io Robot', inspired by Isaac Asimov's novel, robots and artificial intelligence are part of everyday life and interact with human beings. Is this the future that awaits us? And in what spirit should we integrate these fellow travellers with our spaces and our planet?
Paolo Dario, emeritus professor of the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna, and Giuseppe Anerdi, nuclear engineer, will discuss this at the meeting 'Robots, Androids (and other Intelligences): our new travelling companions' scheduled for Saturday 12 November at 11 am at the Politecnico di Torino. The event is part of the programme of the second edition of ‘Biennale Tecnologia – Tecnologia è umanità, and is an opportunity to present the book written by Paolo Dario and Giuseppe Anerdi, ‘Compagni di viaggio. Robot, androidi e altre intelligenze’, published by Codice Edizioni, a journey based on experiences and reflections arising from various research paths to discover these entities that we are building.

Biennale Tecnologia is the event organised by the Politecnico di Torino to talk about how technology is to all intents and purposes an expression of human creativity and can help us provide answers to the great questions of the present. The concept of the second edition is 'Principles', understood as new beginnings, but also as the foundations on which to build our future, which today appears particularly complex.
